Our league, the FGLL, holds an end of the year jamboree at the conclusion of the season.  In 2019 the jamboree was held on June 16th at Lincoln-Sudbury High School.  It is a fun end-of-season event for players in all of the towns in the league!  You can choose if you want your daughter to participate in this event or not.  We will have practices for these players on the Monday and Wednesday between the last regular season game and the jamboree.

  • Sessions: There is a morning and afternoon session.  In 2019 our 1/2s, 3/4s and 5/6s all played in the morning session.  Morning games are at 8:30, 9:00, 9:30, 10:00, 10:30, 11 (each team plays 3 games, typically every other time slot and we will not know which slots we have until closer to the event).  In 2019 our 7/8s played in the afternoon session at 1, 2 and 3.
  • Format: All teams play 8v8 (7 plus goalie) except 1/2 will not play with a goalie so they play 7v7.  Games are 25 minutes.
  • Cost: There is no cost to you for the jamboree.  NGL has paid for each team.
  • Registration: If your daughter is going to play we need you to register her so we can make sure we have enough girls to fill our teams.  When we open registration in May we will let you know and you can find the registration link on the top right of our home page.
  • Team limit: The league has asked up to cap teams at 15 players.  Sign-ups are first come first serve when they open.

If you have not participated in the jamboree before it is a lot of fun.  Many games are played at one time on fields next to each other.  Each town has a tent or two set up as a meeting place for its players.  We will eventually send out an ask for food and drink donations that we have available for players in our tent.  There is also typically some food and entertainment vendors on site which the girls also enjoy.
